Originally from Georgia, John came to Christ Church with his family in August 2016 after completing his seminary studies. After graduating from Georgia College & State University, John served for three years on the youth ministry staff at First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, GA. It was there that he met his beautiful bride, Cassie. Sensing a call to pastoral ministry, John and Cassie moved to St. Louis, MO, to attend Covenant Theological Seminary, where John completed his Master of Divinity.

John and Cassie married in 2012. They have two daughters and a son who keep them very busy at home. The Lawlers love to open up their home and welcome folks to their dinner table, so be prepared to share your story! In his free time, John enjoys watching the Georgia Bulldogs, smoking BBQ, kayaking, driving his Jeep, and spending time with his family.
