Stewardship Update

Dear Christ Church Family,

Thank you for your faithful partnership in the gospel throughout 2025. God has richly blessed Christ Church as we offer ourselves to him as living sacrifices. For this—and for every spiritual blessing we receive in Christ—we give thanks to God.

While 2025 included several staff additions and transitions, we also experienced God’s kindness in providing a strong financial year. Contributions to the General Fund increased by 8.5% over the previous year, bringing total contributions to $1,267,246.90. We are deeply grateful for your generous financial partnership and for the gracious hand of our loving Father, from whom every perfect gift comes.

As we look ahead to a year of transition in 2026, we recognize the need to adopt a conservative budgeting approach. At the same time, we see continued opportunities for growth, deepening faith, and strengthened community. Realizing these opportunities will require your ongoing financial partnership. To involve our entire congregation in this effort, the Session requests that every member household prayerfully consider their financial stewardship and submit a pledge card for 2026 during our worship service on February 15, 2026. We seek to encourage an intentional approach to stewardship—one that responds to God’s generosity to us in Jesus Christ with joyful, sacrificial giving (2 Corinthians 9:7).

The Session has established two financial goals for the coming year. First, we have set a General Fund goal of $1,158,000, slightly lower than last year’s general operating budget. This reflects our commitment to steward wisely the resources God has entrusted to us during this season of transition, while remaining attentive to the opportunities we believe he will continue to provide.

Second, we pray for the involvement of our entire congregation in this financial partnership. Last year, we received contributions from 201 households for the General Budget, an increase of 10% over 2024. Additionally, 67% of total giving came from 20% of the congregation, and 90% of total giving came from 44%. Assuming the 80/20 rule, our congregation continues to exceed national averages in financial stewardship! However, national averages are not our benchmark. Our goal is to be a community yielded to God in every aspect of life, rejoicing in all that is ours through Jesus Christ.

Thank you again for your generous support of Christ Church's vision, mission, and ministries. We look ahead in faith to the coming year, trusting that God will do great things among us as we lean on his everlasting arms.

Grace and peace,

The Session of Christ Church Presbyterian
