Roger Bosma Passing & Memorial Service

Dear Christ Church Family,

It is with deep sadness that I write to share that our brother, Roger Bosma, passed away Sunday evening. Following a cancer diagnosis about a year and a half ago, Roger quietly entrusted his final days to his faithful Savior, Jesus Christ, knowing that the Lord had numbered his days. Roger faithfully served Christ Church as an elder for many years and was a dear friend and mentor to many in our congregation. His gentle spirit, thoughtful wisdom, and devoted care for our church will be deeply missed.

Though this moment was anticipated, that knowledge does not lessen the sorrow we feel. Please join me in praying for Holly and their whole family as they grieve this great loss.

As we all grieve, we do so with hope, holding fast to the promise that on the great day when our Lord Jesus returns, he will wipe away every tear from our eyes and death will be no more (Rev. 21.4). 

Christ Church will host a memorial service for Roger on Tuesday, June 2, at 11 AM in the sanctuary; reception to follow. We invite you to join us as we mourn together, give thanks for Roger’s life and faithful testimony, and rest in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection.
